CSSTEAP Course Announcement for the Year 2018-19

The Centre for Space Science and Technology Education in Asia and the Pacific (CSSTEAP) was established in 1995, under the auspices of United Nations and through UN-OOSA to enhance the capabilities of the countries, in the Asia Pacific region, in different areas of space science and technology and its applications for their socio-economic development.  CSSTEAP has been regularly organizing 9-months Post Graduate course in the fields of Remote Sensing & GIS (RS&GIS), Satellite Communications (SATCOM), Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS), Satellite Meteorology & Global Climate (SATMET) and Space & Atmospheric Sciences (SAS) for the working scientists, managers, researchers, engineers and university educators, which leads to the award of a post graduate diploma by the centre. CSSTEAP also conducts short term courses, workshops & seminars. All educational programmes are conducted in English. For those eligible students who successfully finish their PG course and who are interested in continuing for a Master of Technology (M.Tech) degree, the centre offers the opportunity to do so, in collaboration with Andhra University (AU) in Visakhapatnam, India. 

During the year 2018-19, following Post Graduate Diploma courses will be conducted: 

Twenty Third Post Graduate Course on Remote Sensing and GIS (RS&GIS) - commencing from July 1, 2018 – March 31, 2019 will be conducted at IIRS, Dehradun, India. 

Eleventh Post Graduate Course on Satellite Meteorology & Global Climate (SATMET) – commencing from August 1, 2018 – April 30, 2019 will be conducted at SAC, Ahmedabad. 

Eleventh Post Graduate Course on Space & Atmospheric Sciences (SAS) – commencing from August 1, 2018 – April 30, 2019 will be conducted at SAC, Ahmedabad. 

Also, to inform that, CSSTEAP provide financial support to a few candidates from Asia and the Pacific region, to defray travel and stay expenses.
