               The ICFAI University Sikkim has been established under Section 4 (2) of the Institute of Chartered Financial Analysts of India University, Sikkim Act 2004 (Act 9 of 2004) passed by Legislative Assembly of Sikkim. The University has been notified under Notification No.9/LD/2004 Dated, 15-10-2004, 15-10-2004 and the university is empowered by UGC for award of degrees under Section 22 of UGC Act 1956. Basically, it is non- profitable organization and a member of the Association of Indian Universities (AIU), Federation of Universities, India and the Association of Commonwealth Universities (ACU). 

The Visitors of the University is His Excellency, The Governor of Sikkim that besides the Government nominees and outstanding academicians in the Board of Governors. 

The University offers Graduate and Post Graduate Programmes in Management, Information Technology, Law, Humanities & Social Science and other areas. We have currently students from Bhutan, Nepal and all parts of the country undergoing studies in various disciplines.
