Birth Certificate
For Indian Nationals
REQUIREMENTS:

For New Borns, the Mission issues a Annexure H based on the Indian MHA Birth Registration form with the Singapore Birth Certificate attached. Those who have registered on the MHA website, may visit BLS with a copy of the MHA form and the Singapore Birth Certificate, and apply for Birth Certificate. Fee applicable is S$30 for the service. BLS service charges are additional. It will be issued in 5-7 days. 

For Indian nationals who were born in India and do not have a Birth Certificate, 

1. A Letter of Birth is issued based on the Indian passport only and applicants must come in person.
2. Birth Certificate application Form should be filled and signed by the applicant. For minor below 15 years, parents can sign.
3. Original Indian Passport and copies of the same is required.
4. Original and Copy of IC (PR/ EP/WP/ S PASS/DP) is required.
5. The physical presence of the applicant is required for the age of 5 and above.
6. Processing time is 3 to 5 working days. Fee applicable is S$30 in cash only.

For Indian Origin Foreign Nationals
REQUIREMENTS:
1. A Letter of Birth Certificate is issued based on the Cancelled Indian passport and applicants must come in person with the following documents: -
2. Cancelled Indian Passports (Physically)-preferably all Indian passports held and copies of the same is required.
3. Applicant has to provide the date of Renunciation/Surrender of Indian passport by attaching a copy(Renunciation/Surrender Certificate) thereoff.
4. Original and a copy of OCI card.
5. Current foreign passport and a copy thereof.
6. Resident/Valid permit in Singapore with Original and a copy thereof.
7. Processing time is 3 to 5 working days. Fee applicable is S$30 in cash only.

NOTE: For Emergency Services, an additional emergency fee of S$100 is applicable. Processing time is 2 working days.
