Attestation Services

Original Certificates issued in India such as Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, Educational Certificate are required to be duly Attested/Apostilled by the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) in India Ref: http://mea.gov.in/apostille.htm and https://esanad.nic.in prior to their presentation for attestation by the High Commission of India.

ATTESTATION OF CIVIL/PERSONAL DOCUMENTS:

1. Personal particulars form (click here) to be filled in by the applicants. Photograph not required.

2. Original and copy of Passport and IC is required

3. Processing time is 3 to 5 working days. Fee payable is in cash only, S$17 per document for attestation.

4. Applicant must come in person for submitting application.

5. Original documents like Indian Passport (photocopy of first and last page), Singapore residential cards like blue IC, EP, DP, WP, SPASS and LTVP can be attested directly by the High Commission of India. Two copies of the same are required.

6. As the Singapore government has replaced issuing physical residential cards with digital copies, kindly notarise the same with Singapore Academy of Law (SAL) before submitting at the High Commission of India, Singapore for attestation. 

7. Aadhaar card and Pan card can be self-attested and send for documentation requirements in India. However, those applicants who need PAN attestation from High Commission of India, Singapore are required to produce recent income tax returns statement and or digilocker copy of Pan. For Aadhaar, a copy generated over OTP number for the current date by visiting the link https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in. or digilocker. Two copies of the same are required.

8. Original and copy of the local Indian school’s transfer certificate are required for attestation by the High Commission of India.

9. If transfer certificate issuing school is a Non-Indian School, then the transfer certificate must be attested by Ministry of Education (MEA) for local schools/Committee for Private Education (CPE) for International Schools/ Institutes in Singapore thereafter, it will be attested by HCI. Attested original and copy of Transfer Certificate are required along with original and copies of child’s and parent’s passport and IC.

10. For salary slips attestation, original salary slips should be sealed and signed by the company HR. Originals and copies required with seal and sign.

11. For local bank statements, it must be sealed and signed by the bank. Original and copies required with seal and sign.

12. For foreign bank statements/returns, Singapore/Foreign Passports, Singtel, Starhub bills, Income Tax should be notarized first by the Notary Public in Singapore. Submit a copy of notarized documents.

ATTESTATION OF COMPANY DOCUMENTS:

1. Covering Letter by the local company stating the reason for attestation.

2. Documents pertaining to a company or commercial establishment such as Memorandum of Understanding (MOU), Article of Association, Bidding of Tenders, Attestation of Will, Grants of Probate, Incorporation of Company, Minutes of Meeting etc. must be attested by Singapore Academy of Law.

3. Personal particulars form (click here) to be filled. Company name, address and the authorized person name and phone number, submitting the documents on behalf of the company. Photograph not required.

4. All sets of notarized original documents along with copies are required.

5. Processing time is 3 to 5 working days. Fee payable is in cash only S$30/document for attestation.

The High Commission of India attests copies of notarized original documents submitted to it, without certifying the authenticity of contents.
