This category of visa will be applicable to foreign nationals whose sole purpose of visiting India is for mountaineering/trekking expeditions.

Documents required

• 1. Print out of the online application form duly signed.
• 2. One latest colour photograph with white background (size 2”x 2”)
• 3. Original passport with validity of at least 6 months (Minimum 2 blank pages should be available to stamp the visa)
• 4. Photocopy of passport bio-page and IC copy (NRIC, EP, S Pass or WP)
• 5. Letter from the organization planning the expedition addressed to the Embassy of India, Singapore specifying the exact purpose of the applicant’s visit and expected start and end dates. This letter should be on the organization’s letterhead and written in English with a stamp and signature.
• 6. Duly filled in “Application for climbing the Indian Himalayas by Foreigners” (3 copies) for obtaining clearance from the Indian Mountaineering Foundation and MHA.
